KMH together with the local partner Tiki Architects competed in an international design competition for the Botswana Stock Exchange's new head office with an aspiration for a Icon building which would symbolise the prosperity of the Country and the Exchange itself. Situated in the heart of the growing Financial District and CBD in Gaborone, the site is overlooked by the Three Kings statue in the public park adjacent.
The brief compiled by the BSE was complexed on a site which was constrained and required careful consideration to achieve the brief. The BSE required a fully parked six storey building with opportunities for public engagement and accommodation to staff wellness and a the prospects of additional tenant in the facility. the brief was underpinned with technology and a strong presence of the financial markets the Exchange deals with.
