Canal Walk Retail Pods

The development utilises pockets of space located between the existing parking decks and Century Boulevard and are fashioned around the concept of a glass box as this provides the most transparent solution in dealing with the myriad of responses the context demands. The pods were fashioned to fulfil a need to provide satellite retail space alongside the shopping centre.

The pods are placed purposefully to emphasise the main view lines and circulation points back to the main centre. The design re-enforces the symmetry of the shopping centre and tries to highlight the main architectural elements, creating view corridors to the existing entrances and egresses.
