Project Architect
LOCATION Johannesburg
DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a dynamic Project Architect with some experience to join our Johannesburg studio, focusing on a range of retail and institutional sector projects. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of post-professional qualification experience on small to medium sized commercial projects.
QUALITIES AND EXPEREINCE
Balanced outlook between big picture design vision, and meticulous attention to applying design principles within detailing and technical packages.
Experience on medium commercial projects from inception to completion.
Strong technical competence and service coordination skills.
Good Revit skills and experience working on shared cloud-based models.
Good presentation software skills eg Sketchup
Able to work and problem solve independently, incorporating the design intention and bring this to technical resolution.
Deadline driven – able to deliver projects within programme
Clear communication skills.
Johannesburg based and have your own transport to be able to go to various sites.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
Project Architect on a range of retail and institutional sector projects, working on both design and production work, workstages 1 - 6.
Engage with client teams and end-user stakeholders.
Lead the professional team through all design and technical work stages, lead services coordination and manage contract administration on site through to site hand over and project close out.
Flexibility to work well as part of a team, or as an individual on a project, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Good time management skills to handle project architect responsibilities on multiple smaller projects simultaneously.
Work extensively with Revit, particularly in shared cloud-based models.
QUALIFICATIONS
2 - 5 years of post-PR Arch registration experience in architecture
SACAP PR Arch registration
