Akeso Parktown caters for 120 beds, doctors’ consulting rooms, observation wards, therapy rooms, nurses’ stations and catering areas.

The Durban clinic in Umhlanga accommodates 60 beds in a new-build ward facility and a carefully altered existing residential home converted into a specialized adolescent facility.

Akeso Milpark, Milnerton, is the group’s first newbuild, privately-owned psychiatric care facility in Cape Town and adds to facilities in Kenilworth, Kommetjie and Bishopscourt. The new two storey building was constructed on columns on top of the existing podium parking deck of the Milpark Centre on Koeberg Road – a landmark building of 50 years. The clinic houses 90 beds in different ward sizes, including observation wards, therapy rooms, support nurses’ stations and back-up facilities on two large floor plates. Cars park on the existing podium parking deck underneath the clinic.

The wards and the patient dining area enjoy splendid ocean and mountain views. On the ground floor is the main entrance, admissions, administrative offices, consulting doctors’ suites and a coffee shop with outside courtyard.
