House Kent - Higgovale

London resident Jonathan Kent, son of the late KMH Partner Hal Kent, appointed KMH to realise an architectural design concept – captured in the evocative sketch - created by his brother, Malcolm Kent, who is an architect practising in Boston, USA. The result of this collaboration is a jewel-like series of Japanese pavilions arranged on the hill-side site creating a domestic village where one can move between rooms externally or internally. Spectacular features abound – the most significant of which is the main bedroom suite with its entire bathroom north elevation being an aquarium wall which looks into the swimming pool. KMH worked with renowned interior designer Graham Viney to finish, light and texture the house with his signature panache. The garden – designed by Gary and Erwin Bartsch - is a cohesive design component which links and unites the pavilions.
